The Dispatch Office is the hub of the business dynamics of Harris Lumber. All delivery tickets from the Sales Department comes to this Central Office. The dispatcher organizes, priorites, and assigns these tickets to union loaders (tallymen). Once the loads are completed by tallymen, the dispatcher re-assign these tickets to the drivers in a timely organized flow.

The State of the Art Centralized Dispatch Systems not only trace the date and time of the flow of materials, trucks, drivers, loaders and customer orders but also enhance accountability and locates orders in real-time. The ultimate goal is to exceed our customer expectations.

The system works efficiently on emergency responses or last minute requests from our builders and customers. Depending on the availability of our materials, some loads can be delivered on the same day.

The Dispatcher works hand in hand with the yard foreman to co-ordinate deliveries and fill delivery needs as they arise throughout the day.
