Estimating begins after you and our Sales Consultants have developed your building plans. The we deliver your building plans to our professional Estimating Department where our estimators take these plans and prepare them on our professional estimating computer software – Enterprise Estimating Software.

Plans can include anything from floor layouts with engineered I-Joists or conventional lumber, computer generated deck layouts, beam sizing for floors, door and window headers, roof beams, or reviews of truss plans. Value engineering is also calculated.

Initial estimation is then put into the Information System in fine detail. All the above are transfered to salestaff to review with the builders. Once the builders win their bids and approve their professional start dates, builders will send purchase orders to Harris Lumber and the shipment of lumber will begin.

The builders can then provide the necessary information to the carpenters in the field.
